The Bocky Lineage

Bocky is the common miracle of BOC Arena: a humble hatchling line born from ordinary eggs, farm dust, and stubborn little hearts. They are the most balanced fighters in the game.

Lore & Origins

The history and personality of the lineage.

🌌 The First Migration

Bocky is believed to be the very first Fighting bird breed that arrived in Jankenmura. Long before the elemental towers were erected, Bocky's ancestors fled the terrifying beasts that ruled the Void, seeking refuge in the warm sunlit valleys of the mortal world.

Adapting quickly to the quiet farmlands and rustic barns of the village, they traded the endless dangers of the abyss for a peaceful, simpler life. Their stubbornness and brave hearts allowed them to thrive where other species faltered.

🌾 Stubborn & Adaptable Hearts

The Bocky line carries no single elemental oath. Unlike elemental breeds that are bound to storm or flame, Bocky adapts to care, food, affection, and training with unusual honesty. A loved Bocky becomes bright-eyed and loyal; a challenged Bocky becomes sharper, louder, and surprisingly bold.

By maturity, Bocky is not a starter to be discarded. It represents the pure arena archetype: proud golden crests, balanced combat instincts, and a fighting spirit shaped directly by the trainer who raised it.

📏 Standing Height & Proportions

At full maturity, adult fighters of this lineage stand at about 3.0 ft. They are turkey-height golden rooster-like fighters and are depicted with normal bird head-to-body proportions, grounding all standing poses on the ground plane.

🧬 Sex-Based Hatch Bonuses

Depending on their sex, hatchlings of this lineage receive specific permanent attribute bonuses to kickstart their training:

  • ♂️ Male Hatchlings: Receive +1 Strength (STR), +1 Toughness (VIT), +1 Aim (DEX).
  • ♀️ Female Hatchlings: Receive +1 Mind (INT), +1 Speed (AGI), +1 Luck (LUK).

Fighting Style & Combat Probabilities

RPS move weight distributions and tactical advantages.

⚔️ Move Weight Distribution

In the arena, combat exchanges resolve based on move probabilities. This lineage follows these active weights:

✌️ Scissors 30%
✊ Rock 30%
✋ Paper 30%
🦘 Jump (Fixed) 10%

📋 Combat Mechanics

  • Most Balanced Profile: With a 30% weight across Rock, Paper, and Scissors, Bocky represents the ultimate neutral counter. They have no natural bias, making them unpredictable in the arena and comfortable against any opponent.
  • Ideal Archetype: Since Bocky is completely balanced, trainers can shape their combat style in any direction: building STR/VIT for a tanky bruiser, AGI/DEX for a swift speedster, or INT/LUK for a tactical, critical-heavy fighter.
  • The Jump Advantage: A 10% chance to execute a Jump. A jumping fighter becomes airborne, dodging all standard attacks. Upon landing, they enter the Jump State, making their next attack deal +50% ATK if they win the following exchange.

Hatching & Breeding

How to acquire and raise the next generation of gladiators.

🥚 The Bocky Egg

Cost: 100 coins in the Laboratory Pharmacy.

"A warm plain egg that hums like a tiny arena drum. Bocky eggs are said to appear wherever brave little flocks survive impossible seasons. Their shells look simple, but trainers believe the quiet rhythm inside is the first beat of a future champion's heart."

🥗 Favorite & Disliked Foods

Upon hatching, each fighter is assigned a randomized **Favorite Crop Category** and **Disliked Crop Category** from the game's crops (such as Savory, Grains, or Roots). They must be different:

  • Feeding Favorite Crops: Grants +1% Affection (Happiness) and a +5% training EXP bonus.
  • Feeding Disliked Crops: Upsets the fighter, reducing happiness by -5%.

🧪 Breeding Station Rules

Trainers can pair compatible adult gladiators in the Laboratory Breeding Room to create advanced bred eggs:

  • Same-Lineage Only: You must breed a Male and a Female of the exact same lineage. Cross-lineage breeding is not allowed.
  • Fighter Age: Parents must be between 15 and 49 days old.
  • Affection Threshold: Both parents must have at least 80 Affection toward you.
  • Breeding Cost: Baseline 200 coins + 10 coins per combined point of parent stats. Parent fighters are locked in incubation for 1 game day (144 ticks).
